Jaisalmer is the heart of Thar desert and it is an exotic destination for tourists. Jaisalmer is also known as the golden city and it is one of the most famous destination of Rajasthan. Everyday thousands of tourists visit in Jaisalmer from all over the world because its beauty attracts the tourists. There are some places where you can enjoy  like Safari Desert, Jaisalmer Fort,  Jain Temples, Kuldhara Village and many other places but Jaisalmer Fort  is one the famous destination among them.

  1. Jaisalmer Fort

Jaisalmer Fort is one of the largest forts in the world and it is popularly known as Golden Fort because it is made up of yellow sandstone. This fort is located in Jaisalmer city in Rajasthan, India. This fort is the heart of Rajasthan and this fort is standing in the middle of the golden sand of Thar Desert and it is one the most prominent tourist attraction of Jaisalmer.

Inside this fort tourist can find several architectural buildings and there are multiple entrance gates and the most interesting things to see in this fort include Maharawal in chauhata square, Raj Mahal and Jain temple. Timings of this palace from 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM and the entry fees is RS 30 for Indians and Rs70 for Foreigners. Plan your trip and must checkout the Palace on Wheels train fare for this season.

  1. Desert Safari

Desert Safari is one of the most popular tourist attraction of Jaisalmer. There are many places for enjoying at Desert Safari. You can enjoy camel safari, Jeep safari and night safari these things attracts the tourists to visit in this destination. Safari Desert is much revered activity in Thar Desert. The desert safari includes an adventure of full day camel ride crossing several sand dunes and provide several style of traditional dinner. The best time to visit at Desert safari in the month of October  because you can find pleasant weather.

  1. Bada Bagh

Bada Bagh is popularly as Huge Garden and it was built by Maharawal Jaisal singh. It is 5 Km away from Jaisalmer Fort and Bada Bagh is very familier and couple friendly place where you should definitely visit in this place. Bada Bagh is also famous for cenotaphs, cenotaphs are also known as Chattris. There are places near Bada Bagh like Kuldhara Village, Desert National Park, Jain temple and many more places where you can visit. Visiting time of this temple start from 8.00 Am to 6.00 Pm and entry fees of this temple is Rs 50 for Indians and Rs 100 for foreigners.

  1. Patwon-ki-Haveli

Patwon-ki–Haveli is located inside the main city of Jaisalmer. This is the largest haveli in the Jaisalmer. This haveli is not just a single building but it is a combination of five different havelis. This haveli is made up of yellow sandstone which looks impressive.

This haveli is located near the Patwa complex and you can easily reached through public or private transport. Inside the haveli, there are many things to see like archeological survey, Artefacts, Historical evidences and many more. The best time to visit in the month of September to February and the entry charges are Rs 50 for Indians Rs 100 for foreigners.

  1. Jain Temples

Jain temple is situated nearly at Jaisalmer Fort. You will find these temples to be very old and high pilgrimage. These temple are built in the Dilwara style that is famous from all the world. There are seven Jain temples in Jaisalmer and all are dedicated to Rikhabdevji, Shambhavdev Ji and the famous Jain Hermits known as Tirthankars. You can travel through the India’s Palace on Wheels train which offers world-class facilities onboard the train.

These temples are open in the morning till 12 noon for the visitors, so try to get up bit early. The main thing about this temple that there is a gyan bhandar library which attracts the tourists and it is open from 8.00Am to 12.00Pm so you must in these Jain Temples.
